Recently, I did a space clearing for a client. Life had been posing a variety of challenges around relationships. We cleared the old information and social memory from her home and infused a higher vibration energy of fun, happiness, creativity, love and forgiveness. I'm a pretty simple, nuts-and-bolts kind of girl in these rituals. I burn an essence appropriate for removing the challenge at hand (here, lavender, sage and peppermint) and then infuse with a grounding element for the situation being called forth (quartz, selinite and a little more lavender), while moving through the house aligning the energy with the intention set forth by the client. The process went smoothly, the energy let loose easily and the intention was infused into the home. Within an hour, we could feel the calm that was breathing into the space.
Shortly after we concluded the process and completed our work, someone close to my client made a comment the likes of "that's a load of crap, that energy clearing stuff." And went on about how they didn't believe the process would do anything.
This opinion and similar views shows up every now and then and I have learned to respect what others think, even if I don't agree.
What I have also learned is that what you believe works for you. If you believe certain ritual or process is not going to work for you, it won't. If you're "trying" modalities because others like it but underneath, you're not aligned, they won't work for you. Or they will have a subtle impact but you're likely not to notice because you're not aligned.
My number one suggestion, for any process offered in this physical and metaphysical cornucopia of remedies and modalities: Choose what makes sense to you!
Even if you don't fully understand a given process or solution, choose what feels possible for you. If you feel in sync with angels and spirits, commune with them for resolution. If you resonate with plants and herbs, then utilized them for healing. If you like incense and chanting, go with it.
Energy moves most openly and freely when you are in harmony with the tools around you. And, maybe you don't need to tell everyone around you what you're up to. Sharing with others the details of your personal routines can leak energy, especially if you are seeking approval or agreement with the process.
Choosing a load of light instead of crap begins with your personal sensibilities. Turn over your requests in private and allow the powers that be to bring healing, light, and resolution.
If you're interested in a space evaluation and clearing - including my own version of ghostbusting, give me a ring. Living in sacred light begins with peaceful and harmonious surroundings.
